L’hépatite B est l’infection grave du foie la plus courante du monde. Elle est causée par le virus de l’hépatite B (VHB) qui attaque les cellules du foie et peut entraîner une cirrhose, une insuffisance hépatique ou un cancer du foie. La plupart des adultes en bonne santé victimes d'une infection sont capables de lutter contre l'infection et de l'éliminer de leur sang.
