World TB Day 2014: Reach the 3 Million

This World TB Day, people all over the world, from TB programme managers to frontline health care providers will make a call to Reach the three million and ensure that everyone suffering from TB has access to adequate TB care, including diagnosis, treatment and cure.

On this website, you will find a media centre, blog, and resources. These resources include campaign documents, posters, and t-shirt designs. The resources come in four languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, and French.

Training Package on Xpert MTB/RIF

This set of 11 training modules on the Xpert MTB/RIF assay was developed by Global Laboratory Initiative partners, including FIND, KNCV, USAID, CDC and WHO. The modules include topics such as biosafety, specimen collection and transportation, supplies management, installation, Xpert MTB/RIF procedures, recording and reporting, and troubleshooting.

Preventing and Controlling TB in Correctional Settings Webinar Series

These four webinars highlight challenges, legal requirements, and best practice strategies for preventing and controlling TB in correctional facilities. These webinars were produced by the Minnesota Department of Health in consultation with several local public health agencies and correctional agency staff.

The four webinars include:

Module III: Treatment of Latent Tuberculosis Infection (LTBI)

TB Infection Patient Educational Materials

The goal of these materials is to teach patients about TB infection and to motivate them to start and complete treatment if diagnosed. The materials are designed to encourage provider-patient interactions for active learning through the process of testing and treatment decisions. There are four materials in this series and it is suggested to use the materials as a continuum, as they build upon each other.

United to End TB: Every Word Counts

This document is the first language guide for partners and stakeholders working in tuberculosis.These recommendations have been developed for use by everyone involved in the fight against TB and are aimed at reducing stigmatizing TB language.

This document shares best practices in engagement of health care providers in programmatic management of drug-resistant tuberculosis that have been documented in different countries and regions and implemented by different stakeholders. Case studies presented in the document are lessons learned for scale-up of public-private mix for the management of drug-resistant TB at country level.

Targeted Tuberculosis (TB) Testing and Treatment of Latent TB Infection

This slide set was developed as an accompaniment to Targeted Tuberculin Testing and Treatment of Latent Tuberculosis Infection, a joint statement by CDC and the American Thoracic Society, and subsequent updates. The slide set provides an overview of the current recommendations for the testing and treatment of latent tuberculosis.

Childhood Tuberculosis Activity Book

This activity book is designed to educate children regarding basic TB concepts. Activities include a crossword puzzle, a word search, and a matching game.
