TB Guidelines for Nurses in the Care and Control of Tuberculosis and Multi-Drug Resistant Tuberculosis
This guideline is intended to help nurses in their role of detecting TB cases, providing care, and managing TB treatment. It provides a nursing approach to planning and delivering patient care, aimed at improving access and quality of care throughout the treatment period. It offers a review of TB and multidrug-resistant TB (MDR TB) and the directly observed treatment short-course (DOTS) and DOTS-Plus strategy, as well as guidance on how to adapt TB control information for local program implementation.
