Guidelines for Intensified Tuberculosis Case-finding and Isoniazid Preventive Therapy for People Living with HIV in Resource-constrained Settings

The guidelines show how people with HIV can be protected from tuberculosis with regular, low-cost preventive medication. The guidelines present a set of recommendations that will help reduce TB disease in people living with HIV, their families and communities through a combination of screening for TB and provision of IPT.

Latent TB Infection Multimedia Video Series

The multimedia videos are targeted to community health providers, including those working at Federally Qualified Health Centers. The series contains three videos, each of which is 6 -15 minutes long, and seamlessly incorporate images, voice and text. The videos cover screening, diagnosis and treatment of LTBI. The videos can be viewed from a computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet, where you are - at home, work or on the go. Resources and transcripts are also available.

Tuberculosis Laboratory Biosafety Manual

The recommendations in this manual are based on assessments of the risks associated with different technical procedures performed in different types of TB laboratories. The manual describes the basic requirements for facilities and practices, which can be adapted to follow local or national regulations or as the result of a risk assessment.

Story of Mary: TB is Curable

This video discusses the challenges of childhood TB by telling the story of Mary, a five year old girl who lives in Africa. A community health worker helped her realize that her persistent cough may be TB.

Laboratory Diagnosis of Tuberculosis by Sputum Microscopy

This guide was developed by the Global Laboratory Initiative, which is one of the Working Groups of the Stop TB Partnership. The guide replaces both the 1998 WHO and 2000 IUATLD guides on smear microscopy and contains many new elements.
