The guide also explains how to apply capture-recapture methods to estimate TB incidence, emphasizing the conditions that must be fulfilled for these methods to be used. This guide is intended for use by NTP managers, researchers including epidemiologists and statisticians, and agencies that provide financial and technical support for inventory studies.

Electronic Recording and Reporting for Tuberculosis Care and Control

Adopting electronic recording and reporting is not simply about choosing a piece of software: it is also about changing how people work. This is not a simple undertaking. This document introduces the key questions to be considered and illustrates what the questions, options and recommendations mean in practice by drawing on examples of recent experience from a variety of countries. It is an essential resource for all those planning to introduce electronic recording and reporting systems for TB care and control, or to enhance existing systems.

Formulaires et Registres d'Enregistrement et de Notification des Cas de Tuberculose[Revised TB Recording and Reporting Forms and Registers]

The Stop TB Department (STB) of the World Health Organization (WHO), in collaboration with technical partners, has revised the TB recording and reporting (R&R) system to align the forms and registers with the new Stop TB Strategy. The revision facilitates the monitoring of the six components of the Stop TB Strategy, which itself was developed to help achieve the Millenium Development Goals.
