Strengthening the Health System Capacity to Implement HIV Prevention, Care, and Treatment Services in the Republic of South Africa under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

This project will have an important role in the attainment of PEPFAR and UNAIDS 95-95-95 goals in the Republic of South Africa. In alignment with World Health Organization (WHO) health system building blocks, activities will reflect the South African National Department of Health’s priorities in human resources for health (HRH), service delivery, information systems, and leadership and governance for sustainable results.

Strengthening Vietnam's Indigenous Technical Assistance Capacity and Systems through Support for HIV/AIDS Clinical Mentorship and Health System Strengthening under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

PEPFAR's focus of prioritizing two regions in Vietnam to achieve 90:90:95 goals in 2020 and simultaneously gradual shift away from direct service delivery (DSD) support for Vietnam poses significant challenges and opportunities for the country in sustaining the national response to the HIV epidemic.

Implementing Evidence-Based Prevention Interventions for Key and Priority Populations in the Republic of Rwanda under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The intent of this NOFO is to build on the previous work in implementing evidence-based interventions for HIV prevention, care, and treatment among key populations (KP) and priority populations (PP) in Rwanda including male and female commercial sexual workers (CSWs), men who have sex with men (MSM), and other high-risk individuals.

Develop, Implement, and Sustain High Quality Comprehensive HIV Cascade Activities for Children, Adolescents, and Adults in Facility and Community Based Settings in Cameroon under the President`s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

This award is to support implementation of direct service delivery and technical assistance to regions with large urban areas in Cameroon. The award will support implementation of high quality, evidence-informed case-finding and clinical care services for HIV along the clinical cascade. It will include implementing and supporting the best and most appropriate interventions to reach 90-90-90 across all age groups and populations.

HIV Drug Resistance: Genotype-Phenotype-Outcome Correlations (R01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement is to support studies that will evaluate HIV drug resistance and its relationship to treatment success. Applications are sought proposing studies of genotype/phenotype correlations in diverse subtypes, the relationship between drug resistance mutations present in minority variant viral populations and treatment outcomes, and on the reasons for the discordance between genotype and treatment success or failure. Laboratory evaluations of samples with clinical correlates in patients on recommended regimens are encouraged.

Supporting Laboratory Strengthening Activities and Partnerships for Countries Supported under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The purpose of this program build and strengthen in-country capacity for sustainable laboratory networks in PEPFAR-supported countries. The program will focus on: 1) workforce develop through enhanced in-service laboratory training and certification programs; 2) continuous quality improvement by strengthening the laboratory standards, policies and systems,; and; 3) increasing laboratory capacity to perform quality laboratory testing for Mycobacterium tuberculosis and other opportunistic infections.

HIV Technical Assistance in Burma under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

The CDC seeks qualified applications for a 5-year cooperative agreement to fund HIV prevention, care and treatment, lab support and strategic information and surveillance activities in Burma under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR). This NOFO will focus on technical assistance to key partners in country to build capacity for the implementation and monitoring of Test and Start, differentiated ART service delivery models, linkages to care, viral load scale up and quality control systems.

Technical Assistance to Central Asian National HIV Programs to Achieve and Sustain HIV Epidemic Control under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

This NOFO is for technical assistance to the national HIV programs supported by the CDC Central Asia Regional office under PEPFAR. The technical assistance provider will pilot and evaluate new models of service delivery for 1) accelerating antiretroviral treatment (ART) scale up, adherence, and retention 2) HIV case finding and 3) harm reduction among Key Populations (KP) and PLHIV. Successful models of service delivery and electronic monitoring of patient care will be handed over, scaled up, and sustained by host country government by the end of the five year cooperative agreement.
