In this online 60-second Public Service Announcement, Winston Zulu, a TB/HIV advocate from Zambia, says that TB is the biggest killer of People Living with HIV (PLWH). He advocates that he is still alive because he got access to TB treatment on time. A 10-minutes flash movie accompanies this PSA.

In this flash film, Winstone Zulu, a TB/HIV advocate from Zambia, says that TB is the leading killer of AIDS patients living in Africa. From his own experience of living with both AIDS and TB, and having been cured of TB himself, he states that there is a desperate need for TB patients to be treated with TB drugs, as TB can be cured. He emphasizes that fighting AIDS in Africa means fighting TB. A 60-second PSA accompanies this flash film.

A Guide to Monitoring and Evaluation for Collaborative TB/HIV Activities

This book was developed to assist in the management of TB and HIV/AIDS programs that are implementing or planning to implement collaborative TB/HIV activities. It is intended to facilitate the collection of standardized data and help in the interpretation and dissemination of these data for program improvement. It aims to ensure consistency across all agencies and stakeholders involved in HIV/AIDS, TB, and collaborative TB/HIV activities.

The HIV Rapid Testing Training Package, developed by CDC and WHO in collaboration with the Office of the United States Global AIDS Coordinator, is designed for laboratory technicians, nurses, and counselors at test sites. It provides them with the knowledge and skills to perform HIV rapid tests accurately and reliably in a safe and professional manner. The training package includes a trainer's guide, participant's manual, CD of all files, training video/DVD, job aides, and curriculum posters.

Practical Approach to Lung Health: A Primary Health Care Strategy for the Integrated Management of Respiratory Conditions in People of Five Years of Age and Over

This report developed by the World Health Organization (WHO) describes a strategy to integrate management of respiratory conditions to improve TB case detection. The PAL aims to improve TB diagnosis and care by improving (1) the quality of respiratory care in primary health care (PHC) settings, and (2) the efficiency of respiratory service delivery within health systems.

This report provides a critical review of what is known about adherence to long-term therapies.This is achieved by looking beyond individual diseases. A broad range of policy options emerges by including communicable diseases such as tuberculosis and human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS), mental and neurological conditions such as depression and epilepsy, substance dependence (exemplified by smoking cessation), hypertension, asthma and palliative care for cancer.
