Mabilisang Katotohanan tungkol sa Hepatitis B (Hepatitis B Fast Facts)

Ang Hepatitis B ay ang pinaka-karaniwang malubhang impeksiyon sa atay sa mundo. Ito ay sanhi ng hepatitis B virus (HBV), na umaatake sa mga selula ng atay at maaaring humantong sa cirrhosis (pagkapeklat), pagkasira sa atay, o kanser sa atay. Karamihan sa mga malulusog na tao na nahawaan bilang mga nasa hustong gulang ay kayang labanan ang impeksyon at alisin ang virus mula sa kanilang dugo. Maaaring tumagal ito ng hanggang 6 na buwan, at nakakahawa sila sa panahong ito.
