EHE Innovations and Best Practices

NASTAD highlights the achievements of the 47 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Phase 1 jurisdictions through a series of success stories featured on a dedicated webpage. These stories demonstrate innovative strategies addressing the four pillars of EHE: Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, and Respond. Supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), this initiative aims to strengthen programs for individuals living with and at risk for HIV.

Global Tuberculosis Report 2024

The WHO Global tuberculosis report 2024 provides a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic and of progress in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease, at global, regional and country levels. This is done in the context of global TB commitments, strategies and targets.

The 2024 edition of the report is, as usual, based primarily on data gathered by WHO from national ministries of health in annual rounds of data collection. In 2024, 193 countries and areas with more than 99% of the world’s population and TB cases reported data.

RAISE & NASTAD’s webinar, “Methods for Assessing the Landscape of STI & HIV Services in Local Health Jurisdictions ” was held on Thursday, October 24th. The webinar discusses methods for conducting landscape analyses of STI & HIV services in local health jurisdictions. University of Washington researchers presented the rational for doing a landscape analysis, methods for data collection and analysis, and layering on patient-level data to complement provider-level findings.

Current Methadone Access: Where are we now?

NASTAD, in partnership with the National Coalition to Liberate Methadone (NCLM) held the “Part 2: Part 2: Current Methadone Access: Where are we now?” webinar on September 24 . Methadone is an essential tool for saving lives during an overdose crisis and reducing the risk of HIV and hepatitis C transmission among people who inject drugs. NCLM advocates for a more accessible and equitable methadone system that prioritizes patient health, promotes dignity, and is grounded in evidence.
