Hepatitis A

This webpage discusses hepatitis A and how it is an inflammation of the liver caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). The virus is primarily spread when an uninfected (and unvaccinated) person ingests food or water that is contaminated with the feces of an infected person. The disease is closely associated with unsafe water or food, inadequate sanitation, poor personal hygiene and oral-anal sex.

Worrying About Disease Progression

This infographic demonstrates how survey respondents explained how much they worry about the impact of their chronic hepatitis B on their health in the future, and how this impacts their peace of mind and anxiety levels.

Worrying About Disease Transmission

This infographic demonstrates how survey respondents explained how much they worry about the possibility of infecting their loved ones, even during their daily activities, and why this shapes how they show and receive love, and eventually impacts their psychological wellbeing.

Leaving No One Behind: Community Partnerships in Reducing Hepatitis Disparities

This webinar recording discusses how to reduce disparities in hepatitis, research and community partnerships have been essential in reaching at-risk and underserved populations by addressing the adverse social determinants that are responsible for these disparities. For example, successful collaborations often simplify and facilitate access and linkage to care. In many cases, communities are considered as program recipients or research subjects instead of critical partners who should be significant contributors to the design and implementation of an initiative.
