Understanding HIV Reservoir Dynamics (P01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support multi-disciplinary, Program Project applications aimed at understanding changes in the HIV reservoir over time in different cell types and tissues. A better understanding of the mechanisms that govern HIV reservoir dynamics over time is essential to inform the development of strategies to cure HIV or control viral infection to overcome the need for life-long antiretroviral therapy.

Limited Interaction Targeted Epidemiology (LITE-2): To Advance HIV Prevention (UG3/UH3 Clinical Trial Optional)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit applications that use innovative technology to conduct epidemiologic studies of large cohorts of U.S. populations at high risk of HIV: men who have sex with men (MSM), people who inject drugs (PWID), and transgender women and men, focusing especially on the minority and age groups at highest risk of HIV transmissions.

Limited Competition Coordinating Center for the HIV/AIDS and Substance Use Cohorts Program (U24 - Clinical Trial Not Allowed)

The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) supports a program of longitudinal cohorts to address emerging and high priority research on HIV/AIDS in the context of injection and non-injection substance abuse. These cohorts provide a strong resource platform for current and future collaborative efforts with other investigators to address emerging questions related to HIV pathogenesis, prevention, and treatment in the context of substance abuse, as well as to foster the creativity and efficiency of investigatorinitiated research projects.

Respond: Epidemiology to End the HIV Epidemic (RESPOND: EEE) (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support applications that address the RESPOND pillar of the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative. The objective is to better understand HIV susceptibility and ongoing transmission in the United States (U.S.) using local and population-level epidemiology in collaboration with implementing partners.

Prevention Strategies to End the HIV Epidemic (R01 Clinical Trial Optional)

The purpose of this FOA is to support projects to improve use of evidence-based HIV prevention interventions among populations in jurisdictions identified as highly impacted by HIV. Research funded under this initiative will support the goals of the DIAGNOSE and PREVENT pillars of the Ending the HIV Epidemic: A Plan for America (EHE) initiative towards reducing HIV incidence. Creative, multidisciplinary approaches are needed to meet the needs of specific populations and localities.

Global Reach I

This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Global Reach I Program. The purpose of this initiative is to collaboratively formulate and deliver high quality solutions across the range of programming required to achieve durable HIV epidemic control, emphasizing new and innovative approaches pursued jointly with HRSA and other stakeholders. An additional purpose is to assist with translating new science into programming and to mitigate the impact of forces such as global pandemics in the HIV response.
