The purpose of RC
The Child and Family Health Division at MDH is seeking proposals, focused on those who are pregnant and postpartum and their infants, and include approaches that: Promote medication-assisted treatment options Support programs that provide focused interventions and services in accord with evidence-based care models for mental health and substance use disorder, and/or neonatal abstinence syndrome, neonatal opioid withdrawal syndrome Collaborate with interdisciplinary and professional organizations that focus on quality improvement initiatives related to substance use disorder Implemen
The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage pilot and/or feasibility research in the following areas: 1) the development and pilot testing of new or adapted interventions to prevent or delay the initiation of substance use and/or the progression from use to misuse or disorder and 2) pre-trial feasibility and acceptability testing of services and service system research relevant to the prevention of substance use.
HIV infection and substance use are comorbid conditions that bidirectionally and synergistically influence the deleterious outcomes in people who suffer from substance use disorders (SUD). The persistence and transcriptional reactivation of HIV lead to the development of neuropathological complications. Strategies to address viral latency include silencing of HIV transcription and reactivation and clearance.

This NOFO invites applications at the intersection of HIV and aging by proposing research that aims to meet the following objectives: 1) Improve the understanding of biological, clinical, and socio-behavioral aspects of aging through the lens of HIV infection and its treatment; and 2) Improve approaches for testing, preventing, and treating HIV infection, and managing HIV-related comorbidities, co-infections, and complications in different populations and cultural settings by applying current aging science approaches.
