This internet electronic file discusses side effects of antiretroviral therapy for persons with HIV. The file provides information in table form on the most common adverse events for each of the five types of antiretroviral drugs.

This monograph is a sourcebook that provides information about HIV infection for professionals who work in today’s health care system. It is meant be a convenient reference for some of the most common issues encountered in daily practice. It contains an outline of basic HIV patient care, and a list of resources that can be accessed locally. It presents guidelines and recommendations related to antiretroviral therapy (ART), treatment of opportunistic diseases, HIV testing and counseling, prevention of perinatal transmission, and post-exposure prophylaxis.

This workbook is designed for patient's use throughout treatment with triple therapy--pegylated interferon, ribavirin, and boceprevir. The workbook explains triple therapy, how and when to take medications, what to do if you miss a dose, the length of treatment, if treament does not work, treatment tracks and which you should follow, and dealing with side effects. It provides sample medication schedules, a viral load chart, the notes to bring to the provider, and treatment visit schedule.

This information sheet discusses the viral infections Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C, which cause liver disease. It describes the modes of transmission for each, the epidemiology of these diseases in the United States, the difference between acute and chronic disease as well as the symptoms, methods of diagnosis, and treatment. The information sheet explains the high risk of these diseases among gay and bisexual men and notes that experts recommend that gay and bisexual men should be tested for Hepatitis B and should be vaccinated for Hepatitis A and B.
