TB Treatment Plan

The New York City Health Code requires all health care providers to submit a written TB Treatment Plan to the New York City Department of Health & Mental
Hygiene (DOHMH) within one month of starting treatment for newly diagnosed TB patients.

Self-Study Modules on Tuberculosis, 6-9

These modules are designed for health care workers and provide TB programmatic information. The modules include information on managing patients and improving adherence, patient rights and confidentiality, contact investigations, and outbreak detection and response.

Mental Health Assessment Tool

The Mental Health Assessment Tool was developed to bring awareness to behaviors that may potentially disrupt the TB treatment regimen. This tool includes a series of questionnaires and observations that can be documented during the patient’s medical evaluation.

This training was created for physicians, other licensed medical professionals, and public health professionals involved in M. bovis community prevention strategies and M. bovis case contact investigations.
