TB Contact Investigation Tools and Case Studies

The goal of this presentation is to help secure complete and successful contact investigations. The 50-minute webinar provides an overview of contact investigations, as well as information on available resources. Participants will also hear case studies from field staff that manage contact investigations.

This 60-minute webinar shares information on the basic concepts and best practices for TB targeted testing. Presenters illustrate the history and future of targeted testing in Texas. Information on the Texas 1115 Medicaid Waiver TB Project – TB Infection Targeted Testing is also presented in this webinar.

Global tuberculosis report 2019

WHO has published a global TB report every year since 1997. The main aim of the report is to provide a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic, and of progress in prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the disease at global, regional and country levels. This report is updated annually.

TB and Diabetes webpage

Someone with untreated latent TB infection and diabetes is more likely to develop TB disease than someone without diabetes. Without proper treatment, diabetes and TB can increase health complications. This webpage features information on the relationship between TB and diabetes, TB treatment for individuals with diabetes, and related links for patients and health care providers.

Breathe In: Childhood TB in the USA

This 20-minute short film shares the story of Kelsey, a 5-year old from Houston, TX, as she moves through TB treatment. The video was produced as part of a larger Social Impact Campaign to raise awareness about TB globally. The video has also been presented at several congressional briefings and health conferences.
