The Evolution of HIV Diagnostic Testing

This journal explores the evolution of HIV diagnostic testing, from early antibody-based methods to advanced molecular and rapid point-of-care technologies. It highlights the impact of these innovations on early detection, treatment initiation, and global efforts to control HIV transmission.

EHE Innovations and Best Practices

NASTAD highlights the achievements of the 47 Ending the HIV Epidemic (EHE) Phase 1 jurisdictions through a series of success stories featured on a dedicated webpage. These stories demonstrate innovative strategies addressing the four pillars of EHE: Diagnose, Treat, Prevent, and Respond. Supported by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), this initiative aims to strengthen programs for individuals living with and at risk for HIV.

Data Incubator: Stigma

Achieving zero stigma is a goal of all HIV prevention and treatment services.  In response, this dashboard will visually represent stigma-related data for the communities most impacted by HIV and to demonstrate progress to mitigating stigmas across different geographic regions.

Deeper Look: The HIV Care Continuum

This webpage discusses the HIV care continuum and how it is a public health model that outlines the stages of care that people living with HIV go through from diagnosis to achieving and maintaining viral suppression. Guiding an individual through the care continuum is key to helping them achieve viral suppression, which not only helps them experience better health outcomes but also reduces their risk of transmitting HIV to others.
