The purpose of this document is to highlight cases in which Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) interventions have contributed to a positive outcome of tuberculosis (TB) control activities directed to a range of audiences and settings. It is intended for on-the-ground stakeholders who are interested in successfully integrating ACSM strategies and activities into TB control programming, as well as for decision-makers who can provide greater political and financial support for ACSM activities at the national, sub-national and international level.

This document addresses a broad range of ethical issues arising in TB programmes, ranging from informed consent and isolation to health-care workers' rights and obligations, and clinical and epidemiological studies.

This report highlights the issues surrounding high prices and poor supply of the drugs needed to treat drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB). The report provides an overview of available drug-resistant TB medicines, including drug sources, quality status, and price.

The Global Drug Facility (GDF) is a mechanism to expand access to, and availability of, high-quality anti-TB drugs and diagnostics to support the Stop TB Strategy.

The guidelines show how people with HIV can be protected from tuberculosis with regular, low-cost preventive medication. The guidelines present a set of recommendations that will help reduce TB disease in people living with HIV, their families and communities through a combination of screening for TB and provision of IPT.

The MDR-TB Planning Toolkit is designed to help assist countries develop or strengthen a multidrug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR-TB) component within their national TB strategy or plan. Eight tools contain worksheets to assist the user through key planning steps. The toolkit is intended for countries, technical partners, international organizations, and donors.

This course was designed to give hands-on practice in identifying when and how an Isoniazid Preventive Therapy (IPT) program can be used in the prevention of tuberculosis in people living with HIV. Depending on individual pace and previous knowledge, this course requires around 30 to 45 minutes to complete.

It provides a comprehensive and up-to-date assessment of the TB epidemic and progress in implementing and financing TB prevention, care and control at global, regional and country levels using data reported by 204 countries and territories that account for over 99% of the world’s TB cases.

Step-by-step guidance on getting started in addressing TB, pitfalls to avoid, and a list of useful resources are included.
