TB Poem: Expressions From Us to You

This poem was written for World TB Day 2007 to convey messages of commitment and hope in the efforts to eliminate TB. It captures the essence of the TB program's mission and dedication to the communities it serves.

Health Literacy: New Field, New Opportunities is an online tutorial designed for health and literacy educators interested in addressing health literacy barriers to good health in their work.  The tutorial was developed by World Education with funding from the National Network of Libraries of Medicine New England Region (NN/NL NER).

Developing and Presenting TB Control Training Courses Toolbox

This toolbox provides tools and guides for developing and implementing TB trainings for clinicians and other health workers. It describes how to develop timelines for trainings; conduct needs assessments to determine training needs; create agendas, syllabi, slides, and other course materials; handle training logistics and faculty recruitment; and issue CE or CME units to course participants. It includes sample correspondence, agendas, and timelines; slide templates; and course outlines.

Getting the Message Across: Public Health Campaigns (1948–2008)

This book takes a historical look at the power of posters to persuade people to change their behaviour. It charts decades of changing health priorities, advertising trends and government regulations, inviting the reader to reflect on how public health campaigns have evolved, and how they could be improved. The book contains a large global sample of public health posters with translations in Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish and Russian.

Making Data Talk: A Workbook

The National Cancer Institute’s newly released publication, Making Data Talk: A Workbook, assists public health practitioners, scientists, health educators, clinicians, researchers, students, and statisticians to understand the critical roles data play in communication. The workbook offers recommendations about selecting and presenting data and introduces the Organize, Plan, Test, Integrate framework, which guides public health practitioners on how to present health data to lay audiences.

This brochure provides parents with important information about latent TB infection (LTBI) in children. It is designed in a question and answer format with highlighted information for quick and easy readability. The brochure can be distributed to parents of children with LTBI and can also used by health care providers when providing education on LTBI to parents. This product is intended to be downloaded, printed and distributed at health department clinics or other locations where treatment of children with LTBI is provided.

Tuberculosis - A Comprehensive Clinical Reference

This book provides vital information about tuberculosis, including drug-resistant strains of the disease. Coverage includes which patient populations face an elevated risk of infection, as well as which therapies are appropriate and how to correctly monitor ongoing treatment so that patients are cured. The book provides guidance from expert clinicians from around the world on how to properly administer screening tests, interpret their results, and identify manifestations of the disease.
