Collaborating with media to help the public understand the risk of mpox was an important strategy for curbing the 2022 Mpox Outbreak. Health departments can continue to partner with local media outlets to proactively inform their communities that cases could rise again and to emphasize the importance of receiving the safe, effective, two-dose mpox vaccine.
