The objectives of this presentation are to outline the history of HIV testing, describe the limitations of the first testing methods that were produced for the detection of HIV, discuss the need for an updated algorithm, and identify the new objectives in the current algorithm and describe the test methods involved.

The objective of this presentation is to list and describe the mechanisms of AIDS-associated malignancies, identify and describe oncoviruses seen in the setting of HIV infection, describe the 3 AIDS-defining malignancies, and to develop a basic cancer therapy plan for patients with AIDS-defining malignancies.

Childhood TB Training Toolkit

This training toolkit is intended to focus on building the capacity of health care workers at the primary and secondary level to address and manage TB in children through the objectives of: 1) increasing the detection of TB in children with TB in the community, 2) improving the management of children with TB, 3) increase implementation of child contact screening and preventative therapy, and 4) provide accurate data on childhood TB for better monitoring and evaluation.

This story highlights the personal experiences of a Tuberculosis (TB) survivor who was diagnosed and treated for TB disease. The survivor details the challenges of a lengthy hospital stay, her worries over how TB medicines would affect her pregnancy and baby, and her work as an advocate since recovering from TB.

HBV ECHO: Reducing Perinatal Transmission

Video developed through partnership with the Department of Health and Human Resources (HHS) Health Resources and Services Administration's (HRSA) Bureau of Primary Health Care, Project ECHO launched HBV ECHO, a national technical assistance program that helps enhance HRSA-funded health center capacity to reduce perinatal transmission of hepatitis B. Panelists discuss the teleECHO™ curriculum, challenges in addressing perinatal HBV in the primary care setting, and patient case studies.
