#justB: Real People Sharing their Stories of Hepatitis B

This campaign creates a national storybank featuring real people living with hepatitis B who share their stories and put a human face on this serious disease. They hope to decrease stigma and discrimination and promote testing, immunization and treatment for hepatitis B to save lives. A new story will be featured each month during 2017. 

MMWR: Update: Nucleic Acid Amplification Tests for Tuberculosis

This notice explains that on September 30, 1999, the Food and Drug Administration approved a reformulated amplified Mycobacterium Tuberculosis Direct (MTD) test for detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis in acid-fast Bacille (AFB) smear-positive and smear-negative respiratory specimens from patients suspected of having TB.

This framework identifies key issues that need to be addressed to accelerate the adoption and implementation of new and improved technologies. It provides guidance on what actions are needed when improved existing and/or new medicines, diagnostics and vaccines become available.

The document identifies challenges to retooling and proposes key steps for facilitating appropriate and timely adoption and implementation. It also provides an overview of technical and operational considerations for retooling at global and national levels.
