Methadone is an essential tool for saving lives during an overdose crisis and reducing the risk of HIV and hepatitis C transmission among people who inject drugs. NCLM advocates for a more accessible and equitable methadone system that prioritizes patient health, promotes dignity, and is grounded in evidence.
