World TB Day 2015: Reach the 3 Million

This World TB Day, people all over the world, from TB programme managers to frontline health care providers will make a call to Reach the three million and ensure that everyone suffering from TB has access to adequate TB care, including diagnosis, treatment and cure.

On this website, you will find a media centre, blog, and resources. These resources include campaign documents, posters, and t-shirt designs. The resources come in six languages - Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Spanish, and Russion.

TB Germ - A Cunning World Traveler

This multi-lingual, animated video on TB and latent TB infection provides general information using simple messages on how TB is transmitted, the difference between latent TB infection and TB disease, as well as what people can do.

TB Medication Fact Sheets

This series of patient education fact sheets provides information on drugs used in the treatment of TB (e.g., Clofazimine, Ethambutol, Ethionamide, Isoniazid, Levofloxacin, Moxifloxacin, PASER [p-aminosalicylic acid granules], Pyrazinamide, Pyridoxine, Rifabutin, Rifampin, Streptomycin). The fact sheets include information on medication side effects, actions to take if side effects occur, and instructions in the event a dose of medication is missed.

Adaptation and Implementation Guide for Recommendations for Investigating Contacts of Persons with Infectious Tuberculosis in Low- and Middle-income Countries

This document provides general guidance and examples on implementing contact investigations in low- and middle-income settings. The World Health Organization (WHO) policy document "Recommendations for Inves­tigating Contacts of Persons with Infectious Tuberculosis in Low- and Middle-Income Countries", published in late 2012, presents definitions and recommendations for what should be done for contact investigation; this doc­ument presents suggestions and examples of how the recommendations can be put into operation.

Homelessness and TB Toolkit

The Homelessness and TB Toolkit is an online resource developed to assist both public health programs and homeless service agencies in the important work of TB control among people experiencing homelessness. The toolkit contains guidelines, forms, signs, educational materials, articles, and other resources. Many of the tools found on the site are presented as templates that can be modified or edited for a given program’s needs.
