Model Tuberculosis Outbreak Response Plan for Low-Incidence Areas

The Model Tuberculosis (TB) Outbreak Response Plan (ORP) is a customizable template to help ensure comprehensive and timely response to a TB outbreak.

The ORP includes the following sections: purpose, indications for initiating the response plan, legal authority, composition of the response team, notification procedures, local and state public health responsibilities, data management, communication, training and education, community partnerships, evaluation, de-activation, and glossary.

Effective TB Interviewing for Contact Investigations Materials: Facilitator-Led Training Guide, Self-Study Modules, and Videotape

The Effective TB Interviewing for Contact Investigations Materials include a Faciltator-Led Training Guide, Self-Study Modules, and a Video. These materials are designed to teach successful interviewing strategies to health care workers who are responsible for conducting TB interviews with patients as part of contact investigations. The materials can be used together or on their own. Each material has to be ordered separately from the CDC website order form.

Understanding the TB Cohort Review Process: Instruction Guide and DVD Package

This package includes an instruction guide and a DVD. The DVD illustrates the benefits of adopting cohort review and highlights the roles of the cohort review team members. The guide explains the three key elements of the cohort review process and how to adapt the process to your own TB program. The DVD was produced by the CDC, Creative Digital Group, and the Constella Group. The instruction guide was developed by the CDC and the Charles P. Felton National Tuberculosis Center.

The information kit is also available with a videotape.

LTBI Card: Patient's TB Testing and Treatment Record

This information kit provides information on the rationale and use of an LTBI card. It includes a sample wallet-sized pocket card that LTBI patients can use as a portable record of their tuberculin skin test, chest x-ray, and treatment status. Patients can carry the card at all times and show it whenever they are seen by a new health care provider. This resource also contains information on downloading and completing cards as well as discussing use of cards with patients.

TB Net Clinic Systems Manual

This information packet discusses the use of a clinician-based referral and tracking system for migrant workers with TB. It includes samples of a pocket-sized bilingual (English/Spanish) treatment record for migrant workers.
