This document provides information on Sexually Transmitted Disease (STD) contact tracing. It explains the process of how sexual partner(s) of individuals diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease including HIV/AIDS are notified and screened for testing and treatment.
The following considerations are meant to help educators think more deeply about the experiences of LGBT students of color and their needs. It is not an exhaustive list, but one that was created in hopes of inspiring additional thoughts and questions amongst school staff.
The resources (free to download) listed in this tool will help librarians be a visible ally, use literature to teach respect, celebrate diverse communities and provide access to the LGBT-related information that youth need.
