Donte Smith

Named one of Windy City Media Group’s 30 Under 30, Donte (they/them) is a health educator, advocate, dj, former adult entertainer and festival curator based in Houston, Tx. For nearly a decade, Donte has focused their public health work in harm reduction, sexual health, and HIV/HCV treatment and care among key populations in 3 major cities: Chicago, New Orleans and, currently, Houston. Donte currently works as the Lead Patient Educator for Infectious Diseases at Legacy Community Health where its Public Health patient education team sees more than 3,000 patients yearly in a wide range of subject areas: family planning, maternal child health, HIV, HCV, PrEP, PEP, gender-affirming care, diabetes management, nutrition and cardiovascular health.
