Young People Living with HIV Around the World: Challenges to Health and Well-Being Persist

This information sheet discusses the rates and issues that face young people who contract HIV. It states that 41 percent of new HIV infections are among young people, with the majority of those being women, in areas of the world where stigma widespread, leaving them at greater societal disadvantage. The fact sheet also states that most HIV deaths are in low and middle-income countries.
