MMWR: Identifying New Positives and Linkage to HIV Medical Care — 23 Testing Site Types, United States, 2013

This report summarizes the findings that highlight the importance of examining program data by settings and sites to better understand which are most effective at reaching persons with undiagnosed HIV among the most affected populations and for informing decisions about program planning and allocation of HIV testing resources. The report concludes that focusing HIV testing efforts on the most effective sites in both health care and non-health care settings and increasing linkage to medical care could have a large impact on identifying new positives and ensuring that they receive recommended services.
