This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) will support the implementation and expansion of comprehensive HIV prevention, care, and treatment activities in Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and Mathari Mental Hospital (MMH) in Nairobi and Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral Hospital (JOOTRH) in Kisumu. All three are National Teaching and Referral Hospitals (NT&RHs) and will serve as clinical centers of excellence (COEs) for clinical referral for complicated patients and provide on-site mentorship for health care workers (HCW); in particular for advanced HIV case management.

The purpose of the project is to conduct activities involving effective and evidence-based approaches to providing comprehensive and integrated HIV/AIDS care and treatment services to adult and pediatric populations, to include provider initiated testing and counseling activities as well as Prevention of Mother-to-child transmission (PMTCT) of HIV and elimination of pediatric HIV activities. The project intends to build and capitalize on the work done to date in Lesotho in these program areas since the inception of PEPFAR support in Lesotho.
