FY 2024 Supplement: Strengthening Public Health Systems and Services in Indian Country

The program’s purpose is to strengthen the quality, performance, and infrastructure of Tribal public health systems, including workforce, data and information systems, and programs and services. Recipients will work to improve capacity to develop, implement, and evaluate public health programs and services to address prioritized public health activities in AI/AN communities.

Viral hepatitis is a serious public health threat that kills thousands of Americans annually and is a leading cause of liver cancer. Hepatitis A and hepatitis B are vaccine-preventable and hepatitis C can be cured. The Viral Hepatitis Surveillance Report — United States, 2022 presents information from the ongoing, systematic collection, analysis, and interpretation of viral hepatitis-related data.

2024 National Viral Hepatitis Progress Report

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) strives to prevent viral hepatitis and eliminate disease and death caused by viral hepatitis. The 2024 Viral Hepatitis National Progress Report provides information on progress toward 2025 goals for new viral hepatitis infections and viral hepatitis–related deaths, overall and for key populations.
