Evaluations to Improve Prevention Interventions Under the Presidents Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) Department of Health and Human Services

PEPFAR is committed to reducing new HIV infections worldwide by implementing evidence-based interventions that address risk at the individual, relationship, and community level. Adolescent girls and young women (AGYW) ages 15 to 24 years in sub-Saharan Africa are unique with respect to both their high burden of HIV disease and their extensive array of potential risk factors at the biological, behavioral, interpersonal, social, and structural levels.

Collaborative Consortia for the Study of HIV-Associated Cancers: U.S. and Low-and Middle-Income Country Partnerships (U54)

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to fund research on HIV-associated cancers in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) through collaborative efforts between investigators in United States (U.S.) and investigators in LMICs. The FOA will also support the enhancement of research capacity of LMIC institutions for research in this area. The FOA solicits applications for Specialized Center Cooperative Agreements (U54) for research on HIV-associated cancers from research institutions in the U.S. and LMICs.

Community-Based HIV Services for Southern Region (Maputo, Gaza and Inhambane) Agency for International Development

The purpose of the activity is to contribute to achieving epidemic control in Mozambique by reaching people living with HIV (PLHIV) through community interventions that support the UNAIDS 90-90-90 goals.The overall goal of the activity is to enhance and improve the HIV treatment, nutrition, general health outcomes, and livelihoods of PLHIV- children, women and families - in Maputo, Gaza, and Inhambane.

HIV Program Evaluation Implementation Support for Activities Implemented under the President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) will directly support public and nonprofit private institutions and agencies in PEPFAR-supported countries for the conduct of evaluations of programs currently being implemented by CDC-funded partners. These activities are essential for establishing and strengthening innovative, emerging, and best practices in clinical and community HIV/AIDS and TB prevention, care, and treatment services provided in PEPFAR-supported countries, and may include economic, process, and outcome evaluations.

"High" or "Medium" Priority AIDS Research on Non-AIDS-defining or AIDS-defining Cancers (R01)

The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to continue advancing our understanding of the risks, development, progression, diagnosis, and treatment of malignancies observed in individuals with an underlying human immunodeficiency (HIV) infection or acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS), particularly the non-AIDS defining malignancies which are now a leading cause of death in HIV-infected individuals.

Support implementation of public health programs in the areas of HIV prevention, care and treatment to advance implementation science activities in Botswana. The purpose of this program is to increase access to and utilization of high quality, integrated, confidential, voluntary client- (VCT) and provider-initiated (PITC) HIV testing and counseling (HTC). Peer-to-Peer Support for ART Adherence, Retention in Care, Linkage to Comprehensive HIV Services and Linkage of PLHIV Families and Contacts to HIV Testing Services in the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia under PEPFAR

This FOA will support national facility based case management activities implemented through associations of persons living with HIV (PLHIV). Activities include peer support for HIV treatment adherence, preventing and minimizing loss-to-follow-up and improving retention in care, and facilitating linkage of all HIV patients and others affected by HIV to comprehensive HIV services.
