Strengthen Capacity of South African Government's Department of Health and Implementing Partners to Deliver Quality Differentiated, Advanced Clinical Care for Unstable HIV and TB/HIV Patients in the Republic of South Africa under PEPFAR

In South Africa, it is estimated that 20% of patients newly initiating anti-retroviral therapy (ART) present late and 10-15% of patients on first line ART are failing treatment, leading to poor retention, especially in the first 12 months of treatment. This NOFO seeks to improve treatment retention and viral load suppression of HIV and TB/HIV co-infected patients through the use of innovative capacity building approaches for health service providers to better manage complicated and unstable HIV and TB/HIV co-infected patients.

AIDS Education and Training Centers – National HIV Curriculum e-Learning Platform: Technology Operations and Maintenance

This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP), AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC) Program for the technological operations and maintenance of the National HIV Curriculum (NHC) e-Learning Platform. This project will manage the technological operation and maintenance of the NHC e-learning Platform. Further, it will maintain the platform’s capacity to support additional modules thereby broadening the subject matter content available on the existing NHC.

Regional AIDS Education and Training Centers

This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding under the Regional AIDS Education and Training Centers (AETC), a component of the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Part F AETC Program. The AETC Program consists of the Regional AETC Program, two (2) National AETCs, and an AETC National Evaluation Contractor (NEC). The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) HIV/AIDS Bureau (HAB), Office of Training and Capacity Development administers this program. The Regional AIDS Education and Training Center (AETC) Program has been a cornerstone of HRSA's HIV/AIDS program for nearly three decades.

Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Access, Care, and Engagement Technical Assistance Center (ACE TA Center)

This notice announces the opportunity to apply for funding to maintain and strengthen the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Access, Care, and Engagement Technical Assistance Center (ACE TA Center), previously funded under Funding Opportunity Number HRSA-16-081, Building RWHAP Recipient Capacity to Engage PLWH in Health Care Access. This cooperative agreement will build the capacity of RWHAP recipients and subrecipients to ensure people living with HIV (PLWH) understand and use the range of health care coverage options available to facilitate access to and maintain engagement in care.
