STDs and Pregnancy: The Facts

This pamphlet provides information on STDs and pregnancy. It states the facts about how an STD could affect a baby and why a pregnant woman should be tested early in the pregnancy and be treated if infected with an STD. The pamphlet explains that a women can get an STD while pregnant, when the pregnant woman should be tested, partner notification, and the treatment of STDs with antibiotics. The pamphlet also discusses what happens if the individual does not gets treated, risk reduction by abstaining from sex or only having sex with a partner who is not infected, and protecting oneself and one’s partner.
