NPIN’s World AIDS Day Toolkit Features Voices from All Over the World

To commemorate World AIDS Day 2021, NPIN set out to lift the voices of people around the world who are affected by HIV. We wanted to hear from clinicians, researchers, public health and outreach workers, and people with HIV and their loved ones—in their own words.

The idea led to NPIN’s #MyVoiceMyAction campaign, a social media-based call for user-generated content. After weeks of promotion by CDC and several of its partners, NPIN received photos, quotes, and videos from people across three continents.

Their submissions form the backbone of NPIN’s World AIDS Day 2021 promotional toolkit. Partners can download and share 10 video posts and six graphic social media posts featuring people who responded to #MyVoiceMyAction. The toolkit also features tips for developing organization-specific messaging and creating collateral materials, as well as a news and events calendar of World AIDS Day-related events throughout December.

The #MyVoiceMyAction campaign collected the stories of long-term HIV survivors and advocates, those working in the field and in labs, volunteers and professionals, all working with the same goal: to end the HIV epidemic worldwide.
