Supporting the Ministry of Health, County Health Management Teams, and Service Delivery Partners in Developing and Maintaining Health Information Systems Innovations in the Republic of Kenya under the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR)

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) aims to support implementation of Health Information Systems (HIS) innovations for patient and disease monitoring along the treatment cascade towards achieving HIV epidemic control in Kenya. The awardee(s) will support the Ministry of Health (MOH), County Health Management Teams (CHMTs), and service delivery partners in strengthening HIS through the following main activities: assess national HIS landscape; evaluate HIS programs to measure their effect; set up HIS standards/interoperability framework; establish data exchange between HIS products; establish National Unique Persons Identification (NUPI); set up Health Data Warehouses (HDW); set up HIS Electronic Medical Records (EMRs), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), and other HIS products as prioritized by MOH; and institute HIS governance and policies.
