Strengthen Capacity of South African Government's Department of Health and Implementing Partners to Deliver Quality Differentiated, Advanced Clinical Care (ACC) for Unstable HIV and TB/HIV Patients in the Republic of South Africa (SA) under PEPFAR
This NOFO seeks to improve early identification, retention, and VL suppression of these ACC clients through innovative support to health care providers through at minimum virtual platforms or face-to face learning by expert clinicians. This NOFO will contribute to the reduction in TB/HIV co-infected morbidity and mortality, by supporting better management of complicated and unstable HIV and TB/HIV co-infected adult, adolescent, and pediatric patients. The recipient(s) of this NOFO will build capacity and improve referral systems in collaboration with he SA government and DSPs to ensure sustainability of the ACC program. The geographic focus will initially include: Eastern Cape, Gauteng, Kwazulu-Natal, and North West provinces (12 CDC-supported districts), with the possibility of later expansion to other districts as needed based on future negotiations during annual country operational plan (COP) development.
