Chicago Foundation for Women: General Funding Guidelines.
The Chicago Foundation for Women (CFW) is a social change foundation that accepts proposals focusing on women's issues or concerns in the following categories: social / systems change advocacy, capacity building / organizational development, arts / culture, day care advocacy, domestic violence / sexual assault, employment / economic development, general social services, housing / homelessness, leadership development, physical and mental health, reproductive rights, and women's philanthropy. CFW is especially interested in projects focusing on women and girls in low-income and/or communities of color, lesbians, older women, immigrant women, women with disabilities, and incarcerated women. Organizations and projects should: intentionally and specifically serve women and girls; have limited access to other funding sources; be led by women and intended to respond to women's needs and interests; facilitate women of diverse backgrounds in working together; and have a board and staff that reflect the diversity of the communities they serve.
