This announcement solicits applications for Building Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program (RWHAP) Recipient Capacity to Engage People Living with HIV (PLWH) in Health Care Access. The purpose of this program, which is nationwide, is to build the capacity of RWHAP recipients and their subrecipients through tools and technical assistance (TA) to enroll and engage PLWH in expanded health care coverage and to increase the health literacy of the RWHAP care and treatment system, health care providers, and clients regarding use of the health care system to improve the health outcomes of PLWH.

This program expects to provide funding during federal fiscal years (FYs) 2016 – 2018. Approximately $375,000 is expected to be available annually to fund up to one (1) recipient. Applicants may apply for a ceiling amount of up to $375,000 per year. The project period is three (3) years. Funding beyond the first year is dependent on the availability of appropriated funds for Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program Recipient Capacity to Engage People Living with HRSA-16-081 6 HIV in Health Care Access in subsequent FYs, satisfactory recipient performance, and a decision that continued funding is in the best interest of the Federal Government.
