This FOA will support one-year, services planning research grants to develop anepidemiologic understanding of opioid injection drug use, Hepatitis C Virus (HCV) and Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection risk, and other adverse health consequences of such drug use, in conjunction with determining what resources/programs are currently available for addressing those problems, in any of the 420 Appalachian counties (www.arc.gov/counties).

The purpose of this FOA is to quantify need, procure, warehouse, and distribute HIV/AIDS and TB-related commodities, equipment, and services for patients and recipient health facilities funded by the CDC/PEPFAR Uganda program. Additionally, the awardee will provide or procure contractual services for TA for supply chain systems strengthening and capacity building for logistics management at facilities specified by MOH and CDC.

Within a TA framework, CDC CRO aims to support MOHs as they strive to reach the UNAIDS 90:90:90 targets. This project will support an evaluation of up to two locally-developed or adapted and potentially effective but insufficiently evaluated, interventions that are designed to deliver a combination of HIV prevention, HIV care and treatment, and other social and structural support services to transgender persons who have sex with men who are at risk for HIV infection or who are living with HIV.
