In partnership with Entre Hermanos, Seattle & King County’s HIV/STD Program launched the All Together: The Latino HIV Testing Campaign/Campaña Latina para la Prueba del VIH to promote HIV testing in Latino communities. Entre Hermanos is a community-based organization that serves Latino LGBT communities in Seattle and King County. The center of the campaign is a video public service announcement (PSA). Directed by local filmmaker Drew Emery and produced by Brett Niessen of the HIV/STD Program and Marcos Martinez of Entre Hermanos, the video features a broad cross-section of Latinos and Latinas from King County raising the importance of HIV testing as a healthy community norm. The PSA consists of people explaining how they take care of themselves, their loved ones, and the community, while including HIV testing as part of those caring health behaviors. The end of the video includes a link to hivtest.cdc.gov.
