Performing Regulatory-Required Medical Examinations for U.S. Bound Populations by US Screening Physicians

The purpose of the program is to implement activities to improve the capacity and quality of U.S. screening physicians performing regulatory-required medical examinations for U.S. bound populations (immigrant visa applicants, non immigrant visa applicants, and refugees). The major strategy is centered around on site training to facilitate and improve best practice and efficiency at screening sites. Another activity included is providing electronic materials and resources to reinforce and improve overall knowledge of the CDC technical instructions.
