Tuberculosis Knowledge Base

This resource is a search engine tool designed for health care practitioners to quickly find topic-specific information on TB. This resource is being developed by Mayo Clinic physicians who have expertise in this field. Users may enter search criteria on a variety of TB topics and the search engine will then display records with information pertaining to their topic. Along with topic information, links are provided to outside sources and other internal resources.

A Guide to Comprehensive Hepatitis C Counseling and Testing—in Public Health Settings

The purpose of this manual is to provide guidance for counseling and testing of individuals who are at risk for or potentially infected with the hepatitis C virus (HCV). The manual was used in draft form as part of a field assessment among hepatitis C counselors and testers, who field tested the manual and provided recommendations for improving its utility.

Hepatitis C Treatment Access: State Level Advocacy Successes

This webinar highlighted the work of four advocates who have led successful efforts to expand access to hepatitis C treatment in their states. They shared their strategies, lessons learned, and advice for advocates in other states. The webinar included four panelist presentations followed by time for Q&A and discussion.

NVHR-Sponsored Webinar on Hepatitis C in California: The Role of the Primary Care Team

This webinar described the role of primary care providers in hepatitis C. It provided an epidemiological overview of hepatitis C nationally and in California; reviewed hepatitis C testing recommendations and the role of PCPS in screening, diagnosis, and care; and spotlighted a case study on initiating hepatitis C Baby Boomer hepatitis C screening in primary care.

Ready, Set, Respect! Elementary Toolkit

The kit provides a set of tools that will help educators prepare to teach about respect and includes lesson plans that can help seize teachable moments. The lessons focus on name-calling, bullying and bias, LGBT-inclusive family diversity and gender roles and diversity and are designed to be used as either standalone lessons or as part of a school-wide anti-bias or bullying prevention program.

Working with LGBT Students of Color: A Guide for Educators

The following considerations are meant to help educators think more deeply about the experiences of LGBT students of color and their needs. It is not an exhaustive list, but one that was created in hopes of inspiring additional thoughts and questions amongst school staff.
